A monument truly comes alive when it is cared for with love and pride. In the Limbricht landscape, the Old Salvius Church shines as one of the hundred most precious national monuments in our country — a historic treasure with a soul, where we guard the silence and culture with the utmost care. Since 1995, the Stichting Oude Salviuskerk has been dedicated to bringing this delicate gem to life. We do not do this alone; we are supported by a devoted circle of approximately 35 enthusiastic volunteers. Since 2005, they have proudly carried the name Amici Salvii: the friends of Salvius. They are the guardians of our serene atmosphere and ensure that every visitor can experience the magic of this place.
Share the beauty of the church with others during our open days, inspired guided tours or tranquil exhibitions.
Support our organ working group or help behind the scenes at our acclaimed concerts, where music and acoustics come together.
With reverence for the past, we maintain the church and surrounding garden together, keeping the monument in top condition.
Put your creativity to work for our communications and PR, or help us further explore and share the rich history with the world.
Do you feel a natural connection with this unique monument? Whether you are handy, musical, creative or organisationally minded: with the Amici Salvii, your talent will flourish in an environment of tranquillity and inspiration. We warmly invite you to come and experience the atmosphere at one of our activities or to contact us without any obligation. Together, we let the Salvius Church shine.
